More on Michiana Healthy Living :
“Michiana Healthy Living (formerly La Porte County Vegan Raw Group) aims to inspire others to improve their diet through plant based nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to provide optimal health! We believe that the elimination of processed and chemically laden foods can increase your health. We are a growing group of diverse, yet likeminded individuals with a passion for healthy habits and natural wellness serving Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana. We gather monthly to share, motivate each other and make new connections and friends. We believe each person is responsible for their own wellbeing and has the amazing ability to weaken or strengthen their own health with food and lifestyle choices.
Our meetings focus on natural health and teach you how to take responsibility and not depend on others to heal you. Your health is YOUR responsibility. We have a passion to help facilitate change in our community but know real change begins within and we hope you will join us as we help one another on our wellness journeys.
On the second Tuesday of every month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. CST / 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. EST, we discuss a different health topic in order to inspire and encourage you to experience a higher level of natural health with an emphasis on how to take responsibility for your own wellbeing. We also host a Featured Guest Speaker who will share a natural health topic such as cooking, acupuncture, yoga, essential oils, organic gardening, DIY organic body & skin care and more. Testimonies of people who have made healthy life changes and experience positive results also share throughout the year.
We ask for a minimum of $1 donation to help cover the cost of operating expenses. Our group and Directors do not make money on the group. All donations go directly back into operations and our Directors pay out of pocket for expenses not covered in order to provide a helpful resources to our community. Our monthly meetings are held at the beautiful historic Barker Mansion located at 631 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana. We require all meeting attendees to RSVP, per building requirements, due to fire code restrictions.”
